Dear Maggie,
Every now and then, your Daddy and I would get into fights. There has been a looong list of issues (regarding the business) that need our attention, that require to be resolved, that have to be addressed/considered and so on and so forth. I don’t know why we often find ourselves at opposite ends, hence the clash.
At the end of the day though, we go home to you and are warmly welcomed in your loving arms. You effortlessly put back the smiles on our faces, and we eventually forget that we were arguing earlier.
I sometimes think that if it weren’t for you or had we been childless, your Dad and I might have parted ways already. But then, I’d dismiss that thought right away. We’ve come this far and I don’t think we’d give up on each other that easily.
Thank you, Maggie. You keep us reminded that we are family. And we stick it out through thick and thin…
With all my love,
Mommy
